Tropical Family

“Tropical Family” is a series of photographs of my family taken at home. Like the way people depart for vacation to a southern island, I make my trip back to my family home. For me, my family home is where my life came to be, which makes my parents Adam and Eve, and my family, inhabitants of paradise. When I return home, my brain melts away, almost to the extent of becoming sultry, making it seem like this is a place in the tropics.

I started photographing on the occasion of my younger sister’s wedding anniversary. I am sure my family will continue to change, as its members either increase in number, but hopefully, while I am alive, the family should remain tropical.
